Gyrokinesis Intensive Classes
From October 3rd – 24th
Wednesday, Thursday sessions 10:00 – 12 PM,
Friday sessions 12:30 – 2 PM
$20 a class
This intensive will taught by Master Trainer Tamara Yoneda.
This system, developed by Julio Horvath, works the entire body through seven natural elements of spinal movement: forward, backward, right side, left side, left twist, right twist and circular, as well as all other joint articulation.
This methodology systematically and gently works the joints and muscles through rhythmic and undulating exercises. Movement which stimulates the body’s internal organs and different corresponding breathing patterns are integrated.
Fluidity is the key. Postures are not held for long periods of time. Instead, postures are smoothly and harmoniously connected through the use of breath.

The Strength of Vulnerability
One House of Peace Quarterly Workshop
Saturday, October 11th 1:00- 5pm
Sliding scale $50 – 75
Our culture sees vulnerability as weakness. In fact it is our greatest strength. In this experiential workshop you’ll learn how embracing vulnerability actually enhances your relationships and life.
We navigate the world with strategies and defenses – trying to maintain a sense of security. These tactics come from a mindset of fear. Vulnerability is about opening ourselves to authenticity. It’s about learning to express ourselves wholeheartedly.
In this workshop, we’ll offer practical tools to give you the confidence and courage to reveal yourself to others. Open yourself to a life of deeper connection and new possibility.
Anatomy of Asana
Six Thursdays starting October 16th, 6:00 – 7:15pm
Yoga has come to a crossroads between ancient tradition and modern living. This course is designed to explore the experience of lineage-trained asana along with the practical understanding of our body mechanics and its applied affects, allowing for a deeper relationship with yourself through yoga.
Each class will explore one or two familiar postures such as bridge or cobra, specifically collaborating the knowledge of anatomy with breath work, meditation, and movement to guide toward new understandings of what each posture does for the body and mind.
Low Back Series: Pelvic Floor Course
6 Thursdays starting January 8th, 2015 6:00 – 7:30 PM
The pelvic floor is one of the most critical areas in need of attention. Unfortunately, it is also a difficult topic to talk about in our society. Anything below the waist tends to be taboo, and definitely not something talked about casually. The subject is often — wrongly so, mind you — reserved for recent mothers or women who are approaching 50.
This six week series will explore the muscles, bones, and organs of the pelvis through discussions and exercises; which will help you to achieve healthy balance through your every day. Part of a full, healthy life is taking care of every part of yourself. Even the places that are uncomfortable to talk about.
This course is open to women of all age, ailments and levels of experience. Register as space is limited.
