Gyrokinesis 5 Week Intensive Series

This intensive will taught by Master Trainer Tamara Yoneda.
This system, developed by Julio Horvath, works the entire body through seven natural elements of spinal movement: forward, backward, right side, left side, left twist, right twist and circular, as well as all other joint articulation.
This methodology systematically and gently works the joints and muscles through rhythmic and undulating exercises. Movement which stimulates the body’s internal organs and different corresponding breathing patterns are integrated.
Fluidity is the key. Postures are not held for long periods of time. Instead, postures are smoothly and harmoniously connected through the use of breath.
Somatic Explorations – Finding Pathways to Wholeness
Sunday, September 14th 1:30 – 4pm
The very first functions at the beginning of human life were learned through movement. It was through sensory-motor explorations that we learned to roll, crawled, come to sit and, gloriously, come to stand up. Movement exploration remains a powerful tool throughout life and, when combined with attention, feeling and sensing, it can provide a powerful way to access the brain self-organizing nature. This somatic process provides a key to connect to ourselves; from the compass of our own internal sensing, it invites a clearer integration of the body and the mind, opening pathways towards wellness and leading us towards wholeness.
This workshop is open to everyone desiring to bring improvement for more efficient and comfortable ways of moving and being in the body. It will be valuable especially for people involved in health education, wellness coaching and counseling as it will bring a deeper understanding of the somatic experience and its role in supporting integration and creating health.

We navigate the world with strategies and defenses – trying to maintain a sense of security. These tactics come from a mindset of fear. Vulnerability is about opening ourselves to authenticity. It’s about learning to express ourselves wholeheartedly.
In this workshop, we’ll offer practical tools to give you the confidence and courage to reveal yourself to others. Open yourself to a life of deeper connection and new possibility.
Anatomy of Asana

This 6 week series is co-taught by Bashiran Travis and Morgan Perry. With over 45 years combined experience in teaching yoga and anatomy they will guide you through breath, posture, and how to effectively and safely deepen your practice.
